Over 150 Alberta Approved Farmers’ Markets to Discover
Alberta Approved Farmers’ Markets are a celebration of culture, a commitment to sustainability, and a connection to community.
There’s so much to do in Alberta. Adding a visit to an Alberta approved farmers’ market – or multiple farmers’ markets – into your Alberta vacations can round out your trip and let you experience the welcoming atmosphere of approved farmers’ markets, get to know those who grow or make the food and one-of-a-kind craft products, and purchase fresh fruits and vegetables grown by local farmers, unique artisan products and amazing value-added foods.
All Alberta Approved Farmers’ Markets meet the minimum standards set by the Government of Alberta through the Alberta Approved Farmers’ Market Program. The 80/20 Rule ensures that at least 80 per cent of the vendors are Albertans who make, bake, or grow the products they are selling. Sunnygirl is the official logo of Alberta Approved Farmers’ Markets so look for her when you visit the approved farmers’ markets or check out their social media pages.
