Hawaiian sauces, marinades, dry rubs, cookies and more. Peter’s grandparents ran a restaurant in Maui in the 1930’s. When he found their old recipes and started making them for family and friends, everyone suggested he start selling the unique products at local farmers’ markets. Ono Loa translates to “very good to eat” in Hawaiian, and the name is 100% correct. What makes Peter’s Edmonton-based products different from other sauces and marinades are the tropical flavours and how long Peter recommends using them to marinate meats and vegetables. They can also be used on top of your favourite salad. “I enjoy sharing the history of these recipes with customers, and spreading the “aloha spirit”. My products are the true meaning of Ono Loa, as they bring such vibrant flavours to an everyday meal.”
