Over twenty different varieties of locally grown vegetables: potatoes, carrots, peas, onions, broccoli, sweet corn, Brussels sprouts and more. Riverbend Gardens has been a fixture at Edmonton and area farmers’ markets for more than 40 years. Today, Janelle and Aaron run the third-generation, labour intensive, family farm that’s located in north Edmonton, which means an abundance of fresh veggies grown right within city limits. “Our family has always cared about feeding our community and providing our city with fresh, healthy food. Markets are a chance to build connections between customers and the farmers’ that produce the food they eat. Our vegetables taste so good because they are locally grown and just picked before you buy them at the farmers’ market.”
